Guests appreciate the cozy atmosphere that fosters a sense of connection, often leaving feeling like part of the family. The affordable price range of £10-20 for such high-quality seafood makes it a beloved spot for both locals and tourists. Pairing the meal with one of their local beers or a fine wine elevates the dining experience even further.
The most notable downside to Moules and Co is its limited seating capacity, with only four tables available. This can lead to longer wait times, especially during peak hours. Many patrons leave with a sense of regret for not securing a table sooner, as walk-ins only means you can't plan ahead. Some diners find it challenging to enjoy the space without feeling a bit crowded, given its intimate size. The constant buzz of popularity can sometimes lead to a rushed experience. Additionally, while the prices reflect the quality of the food, some diners might find them a bit steeper compared to other seafood options nearby.
Absolutely fantastic. Very small restuarant with just x4 tables, left us feeling extremely lucky to have enjoyed this amazing place. The mussels were the best you are going to find in such a relaxed environment. The staff were so friendly. If you manage to get a chance to get a table here do not turn it down. Incredble Mussles, Pasta and x4 glass wine £48.00 amazing!
Wow. A wonderful place with delicious fish dishes and amazing Mussel offerings. The Moules Marinere and Cider and Bacon dishes were divine, all served with warmth and hospitality. A must visit when in Newquay ❤️.
This is my first holiday in Cornwall, I'm 22 and I still have a lot of firsts to catch up on for one reason or another. This was my first time trying muscles and I cannot begin to explain how perfect the food was. The plate was CLEAN at the end. The portion was really good value, the sauce was spicy but had so much depth to it and the muscles were fresh. The staff were so kind and caring, they took time to explain things and really made the place what it is. The pasta was fresh and the prawns were to die for. I can't compare it to any other dining experience ive ever had, it's truly redefined what a "hidden gem" is to me and has repaired a part of me I didn't know was missing. Thank you so much! We will see you in August for our anniversary ❤️🦞🦐 EDIT It was so lovely we made a point to take a detour on our last day to come back. Ditto what I have written so far, it was lovely and both owners are really kind. Can't wait to see your next business venture up our way in Whitby! EDIT 2 We came back a year later, it was worth the 5 hour drive just to come here, the chef actually remembered us too which was nice, the muscles were fresh and tasty, might have to make this a yearly thing! Thanks again!
Best mussels I’ve ever had and the chef/owner was lovely as well. Tiny restaurant and they turned people away after us, so I would recommend arriving early or going for lunch.
The mussels perfectly done! I love how cozy the place is (and I was lucky to just walk in on time). Kudos to the coolest chef ever. And nice friendly staff.
I’ve had lots of Moules Frites. Simply the best Moules I’ve ever had. Sadly no frites haha. Glad we queued up 10 mins before opening to get a table as it was deservedly full one minute after!
We had an absolutely amazing dinner at Moules & Co! I had the prawns with pasta and my wife had the mussels — both were honestly the best we’ve ever had in our lives. The flavors were incredible, fresh and perfectly cooked. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, with such a lovely, family feel to the place. The service was outstanding too — friendly, attentive and made us feel right at home. Highly recommend this gem of a restaurant!
